I was recently contacted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Massachusetts, USA to be their event photographer for their gathering of Alumni at the House of Lords in Westminster. The event was hosted by Lord Richard Faulkner and their president and space scientist Dr Laurie Leshin gave an engaging and informative update of the WPI and the achievements of its alumni. The inaugural president was also presented with the WPI banner and gifts were exchanged between Lord Faulkner and the WPI. The university has one of the most desirable overseas placement schemes for budding scientists and engineers to fulfil their academic goals. London is one of their most successful overseas sites for such studies and parliament was a fitting venue to hold their fascinating event.
