Clare & Michael were married at St Peter & St Paul Church in Edenbridge and held their reception at Westerham Golf Club. Clare and her bridesmaids had a very calm morning, going over Clare’s vows while doing each other’s hair and make-up. It was peaceful and intimate with me as the only ‘outsider’ capturing Clare chatting and laughing with her closest friends and her proud Mum popping in from time to time.
One of the loveliest moments of the service was when Clare’s Dad, a vicar, performed the blessing. A special moment for both Clare and her Dad. And it was this importance of family to Clare & Michael which really resonated throughout the day. It was evident how close they both were to their families and how well regarded they were to each other’s. As well as a speech from Clare’s Dad there was one from Michael’s too and Clare’s brother welcomed them both to their seats at the top table.
It was a pleasure to be Clare & Michael’s wedding photographer and by the end of the day, I felt like I had really got to know them and their families well. Popular yet modest, fun yet serious, they were a lovely couple who knew how to have a good time with their nearest and dearest.
