Joanna & Clive’s Wedding

Joanna & Clive were married on one of the hottest days of the year at the very grand Stoke Place in Buckinghamshire. It was gorgeous. Clear blue skies and the summer heat gave their day an extra special quality – a feeling of happiness and positivity.

While Stoke Place gave it an aura of quintessential England, a few extra touches by the couple added a spattering of quirk. The ceremony was romantic and traditional turning to cheeky and fun as the couple and their guests let rip a rendition of It Must be Love by Madness. It was both touching and uplifting.

With its vast grounds encompassing a picturesque lake the setting was one of both grandeur and serenity and gave the perfect backdrop for wedding photography. Guests lounging on hammocks and deck chairs listening to the jazz band and playing Pétanque added to the relaxed, summery feel. We took a stroll around the lake where I could capture Joanna & Clive having some time alone together now that they were Mr & Mrs Harrison.

Their day was a wonderful mixture of morning suits and Madness, of Pétanque and popping candy, of fascinators and fireworks. In a time where couples strive to leave tradition behind and do things a bit differently, Joanna & Clive tried both. And they won.
