Film buffs Elouise and Stephen opted for a movie theme for their Valentine’s Day wedding at Westerham Golf Club. Beautiful bride Elouise walked down the red-carpeted aisle, the wedding breakfast tables were named after their favourite movies and cupcakes topped with popcorn were stacked high ready for cutting later.
With Stephen being Italian, they would be seated at The Godfather top table whilst listening to a stringed trio playing the classic gangster film’s theme music. Knowing the theme in advance and sharing their love of the big screen, I brought along a few props to include in the shots of the rings to carry the theme through the day’s images.
As it was also Valentine’s Day, Elouise and Stephen also had some red and white balloons which gave some colour to their bridal shoot and made for a fun shot of them being released into the evening sky.
Themed weddings are always fun to shoot as there’s always lots of little detail to pick out. And like any top quality film, Elouise and Stephen’s wedding had the perfect mix of ingredients – a gorgeous location, stunning wardrobe, keen attention to detail, a moving dialogue and the sincerest of protagonists.
