Updated after COVID restrictions fully lifted as of 24th February 2022:
After almost two years of restrictions, the Prime Minister has announced that all legal restrictions are to be lifted as of 24th February 2022. This means that face coverings and self-isolations are no longer a legal requirement. However, as a photographer booked to attend clients’ offices, events and homes I feel a responsibility to maintain certain behaviours. I will therefore continue to take lateral flow tests before arriving on site (while they are available) and will wear a face covering within confined spaces.
My diary is thankfully becoming busy once again and it feels great to be working regularly – meeting new people as well as catching up with regular clients. Hopefully we can all keep moving forward.

Updated for third lockdown as of 6th January 2021:
As only essential work is permitted until further notice, the only assignments I am currently accepting are for product photography which can be carried out at my home studio i.e. without having to leave the house and interact with others. Products can be posted to me for photographing and then returned (if required) once they have been sanitised and quarantined for 48 hours.

Due to the second lockdown as of 5th November, there are a few Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates that I would like to share.
It is extremely important to me that my clients’ health is in no way jeopardised by me fulfilling my photography assignments. I also have a family whom I am trying to protect as much as I can. Therefore, I am carrying out the following precautionary steps that I have identified in order to keep my clients, my family and myself as safe as possible during these unusual times:
Event Photography
I am not currently able to accept any event photography assignments until further notice.
Product Photography
I am still able to accept commercial product photography assignments for products that can be posted to and photographed at my home studio. All products that are photographed and that must be returned to the client will be sanitised before doing so.
Headshots & Portraits
I am still able to carry out headshot and portrait assignments but with the following extra precautionary measures:
- I will be wearing a face covering at all times to protect myself and others
- I will mark out on the floor a safe distance from where I can photograph the client, keeping at that distance at all times
- I will ensure my portable studio equipment is sanitised before and after arrival.
Commercial Photography
I am able to carry out commercial photography assignments on site. However, should this require working with or in the vicinity of others, I will wear a face covering at all times to protect myself and others. I will also ensure my equipment is sanitised before and after arrival.
Communication & Bookings
All bookings and any subsequent client interaction will be handled either over the phone, by email or via Zoom and not in person. The day before each assignment, I will contact the client to verify that all people involved in the shoot are well and safe to proceed and to confirm that I am in good health. Should anyone be presenting with symptoms of COVID-19 (a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, a loss of, or change, to your sense of smell or taste) then the shoot will be postponed until unwell parties have returned from isolation. Should the client become aware of someone presenting COVID-19 symptoms on the day of the shoot, I must be informed as soon as possible and the shoot will be rearranged when possible. I will do the same should I start to feel unwell.
Travel
I will only be travelling to and from assignments via car in order to prevent using public transport. Any parking assistance clients can offer will be greatly appreciated.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about a shoot. For further information on the government guidelines on Coronavirus (COVID-19), please visit https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus.
Should this advice change, I will update this post.
Many thanks in advance for your cooperation.
